Four Government Agencies Join WiredRed’s Customer List
WiredRed’s e/pop to provide the agencies with secure enterprise instant messaging capabilities
San Diego, California – October 15, 2002 – WiredRed™, a provider of secure instant messaging (IM) and enterprise real-time communications software, today announced that four federal agencies recently purchased e/pop® for its secure, IM capabilities. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Institute of Health (NIH) chose e/pop for its extensive set of security options, centralized administration capabilities and ability to instantly send customized, high priority messages. The four federal agencies join the Department of Labor (DOL), several military installations and federal courts, on WiredRed’s list of customers in the public sector.
e/pop provides these agencies with the ability to send critical notifications instantaneously in real-time to personnel located in geographically dispersed offices about impending emergencies, important meeting notices, and other memoranda. It offers an extensive set of security options, which includes RC4, DES, triple DES, AES, & RSA that prevents spoofing and eavesdropping to ensure the integrity of the messaging system.
In addition, management can take advantage of message auditing capabilities, rich text formatting, sound options and control on-screen placement so that these messages cannot be ignored.
